November 30- December 2 I will be in Madison at the third annual Tesla Con. It promises to be an amazing weekend filled with everything steampunk. Over the weekend I’ll be doing photo shoots for attendees in their costumes. For small groups I will be doing photos on site and for larger groups I’ve found a great location at Lakeview Park in Middleton that is less than 10 minuets from the host hotel. To see location shots from the park: Lakeview
1-4 people $15
Photos will be available for viewing and purchase after December 10th via our smugmug page: Photo Gallery
If you wish to see examples of my steampunk photos please check this gallery. These sessions will not be green screen. I’m more of a traditionalist and stick to in camera tricks. Also I will have pin hole photography available as well. Book today!
This past weekend I made the trip to Chicago to do senior photos with sisters from Onalaska. We had an amazing time. We did most of the photos at Millennium Park on Michigan Avenue. So many great locations in such a small area. It was unbelievably beautiful and could have spent all day taking photos.
This was our fourth year as the photographers for the Snowflake Ski Jump. It’s an amazing event put on by all volunteers and takes months of planning. This year the weather really wasn’t on our side. It was unseasonably warm and required lots of additional work to keep the hill in jumping condition. But in the end it was another amazing weekend I know I wont forget.
In the past we’ve done Bowen’s photos at home this time we decided to move to the studio as he’s become much more active and we could use some extra room to chase him around. Bowen is such a happy little guy, always smiles and good moods. Hard to believe he’s almost a year old. Seems like just yesterday we were photographing his parent’s wedding. But enough of my chatter, on to the photos.
We took part in a large group photo shoot organized once again by Silversark Clothier. Stephanie always comes up with amazing wardrobe for these events and wonderful locations. This time the shoot took place at Kick, an amazing shoe store in La Crosse. I fell in love with this location from the second I walked in. Didn’t hurt there were so many amazing shoes as well! Due to poor weather most of the other photographers were not able to join us, we were very out numbered by the models. However we made it work. There were so many great ideas floating around….. It was an amazing shoot and I’m looking forward to the next one.
Big thanks to everyone involved!!! And an extra thanks to Kick!
Lately we’ve been having requests for boudoir sessions. So we collaborated with a local model to start building a portfolio of boudoir sessions. Lots of fun and a little silly. We’ve also started to do video of our sessions so we can share some of our behind the scenes silliness.
Spent an afternoon with Annie in the studio. We’ve shot together one other time. I love how upbeat she always is and I wish we could work together more often. Mostly we worked on some simple head shots for her portfolio as well as mine. We were having so much fun we lost track of time. I hope we can work together again come summer when we can do more outdoor shots like we did the first time we worked together.
